GEE provides geotechnical engineering and subsurface investigations for feasibility studies, site development, and foundation systems. Our design of foundations incorporates all available site and structure conditions to allow for the most practical and cost-effective design. Our designs include shallow and deep foundation systems. Our deep foundation designs include precast, steel, timber, auger-cast, and helical piles, as well as caissons and drilled piers. We also have the staff to provide construction inspections of complex foundation in natural and problem soil areas. All of the above typically starts with a well-planned subsurface investigations and geotechnical evaluation. Our subsurface investigations are performed in accordance with the ASTM Methods and accepted practices. These include:
Upon completion of the field investigations and laboratory analyses, our senior staff will perform detailed Geotechnical evaluations and prepare the Geotechnical Engineering Report to be utilized by the design professionals and construction contractors. The report will include our determination of the subsurface conditions encountered, analyses of obtained data, and providing construction recommendations with regard to:
Our geotechnical staff is also a valuable asset to provide environmental consulting prior and during the construction phase. The combination of these two disciplines allows GEE to provide the client a complete understanding of the subsurface conditions. It also assures the client that we have the capability to address all aspects of a geo-environmental problem, including potential hazards to existing structures, during an environmental remediation project.
